The Bureau of Reclamation's Acquisition Operations Branch intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to Purdue University for specialized contractor services involving the measurement of cosmogenic radionuclides Beryllium-10 and Aluminum-26 in fluvial quartz mineral samples. Purdue University is identified as the sole source capable of fulfilling this requirement due to its unique facilities and specialized gas-filled magnet equipment necessary for the analysis. The procurement will be conducted without competitive quotes under statutory authority that allows sole source acquisition when only one responsible source exists, with an anticipated award date around December 30, 2020. Vendors interested in providing similar services or questioning the sole source determination are invited to submit a Letter of Interest by December 28, 2020, including their DUNS and Tax Identification Numbers, and business size classification per NAICS code 541380. The government will consider responses solely to determine whether to proceed with a competitive procurement but reserves the discretion not to do so. All contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management before submitting proposals, and invoices for this contract will be submitted through the Department of Treasury's Invoice Processing Platform. The primary contact for questions regarding this contract is Amanda Somerville.
