Full Description

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: This contract consists of the geochemical and geological monitoring of groundwater at various Contaminated Cleanup (CC) Sites within the Livorno Supply & Maintenance Area (DEPOT) and Camp Darby Military Installations. The sites consist of CCPL010 (Bldg. 5138), CCPL100 (Bldg. 5023), CCPL113 (Bldg. 5120), CCPL114 (Bldg. 5180), CCPL008 (Former Waste Water Treatment Plant), CCPL003 (Abandoned Landfill), CCPL111 (Former Painting Booth), CCPL115A (Bldg. 5012), CCPL116 (Bldg. 204), and Bldg. 5801. The Contractor shall identify the general hydrogeologic and hydrogeochemical conditions at DEPOT and Camp Darby, and the relationship to the existing contamination. As a result of the study, the Contractor shall identify the presence of contamination in relation to the groundwater flow directions, and provide the Contracting Office Representative (COR) with maps and groundwater analysis reports. The contractor must demonstrate that the laboratory complies with ISO EN 17025 "General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories", ISO EN 9001 "Quality Management Systems Requirements", ISO EN 14001 "Environmental Management Systems" and accredited by Accredia (Italian Accreditation System) for all parameters analyzed. A copy of these certificates shall be submitted by the contractor. FUNDING: The project is funded. LOCATION OF THE WORK: The site of the proposed work is on the Camp Darby & Depot, USAG Livorno, Italy METHOD OF CONTRACTING: This will be a Request for Proposals (RFP) resulting in a firm fixed price contract. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: The project shall be for one base year plus one option year. SITE VISIT: The site visit will be held on Wednesday, August 24th at 11:00 a.m. in the Regional Contracting Office (RCO) Conference Room.
