The NASA/SSC Office of Procurement intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to Aerojet Rocketdyne for technical expertise regarding the B Test Stand LH and LOX Docks at the John C. Stennis Space Center. The scope of work involves electrical engineering and technical support for the design and modification of the B Test Stand LH Dock Control Panel and the modification of the LOX Dock Panel. This effort is expected to have a period of performance of nine months from the date of award. Aerojet Rocketdyne was identified as the sole responsible source due to their role as the sole operator and contractor tenant of the B1 test stand since 1999. This commercial acquisition is conducted under FAR Part 12 and FAR Subpart 13.5, utilizing NAICS Code 541330. The procurement process included a period for interested organizations to submit capabilities to determine if the effort should be competed, though the government anticipated issuing the solicitation directly to Aerojet Rocketdyne.
