B302 CHP Electrical Preventative Maintenance Service

The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is conducting market research through a Sources Sought notice to assess industry capability in providing preventative maintenance, repair, and testing services for high and low voltage electrical equipment within the Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system at Building 302 in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Non-outage work may proceed Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Respondents must be registered in SAM.gov and possess a valid Unique Entity ID, with company size validated under NAICS code 238210 for Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. Small businesses are specifically requested to assess their ability to comply with FAR 52.219-14 limitations on subcontracting and provide support for their response. Technical personnel must hold ANSI/NETA ETT-2022 certification, with crew leaders requiring Level III or higher. Strict safety protocols are mandated, including adherence to lockout/tagout procedures, use of appropriate PPE, and immediate reporting of discrepancies or near-misses to the Contracting Officer’s Representative.
