Full Description

The 436th Contracting Squadron, Dover AFB, DE intends to award a sole source purchase order to American Science & Engineering, Inc. (AS&E) for a Domestic Parts & Labor Service Agreement (1-year), including Bumper to Bumper for a Z Backscatter Van X-ray Inspection System. Service agreement includes preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and bumper-to-bumper vehicle support. The current Z Backscatter Van X-ray System employed by Dover AFB is a proprietary product of AS&E due to their patented technologies. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The closing date for this synopsis is 8 September 2015 at 1:00pm Eastern Standard Time. The anticipated award date is 22 September 2015.
