Bacteriology ID & Susceptibility Cards for Bacteriology Testing

The Billings Area Indian Health Service Wind River Service Unit, Ft. Washakie Wyoming, intends to award a non-competive contract on a sole-source base under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1 to Biomerieux Inc. 595 Anglum Dr. Hazel Wood MO. 63042 for Bacteriology ID and Suscepibility cards for Bacteriology testing, reagents and supplies for patient testing for the Biomerieux Vitek 2. Biomerieux is the manufactor of the Vitek 2 and the only known vendor to supply the regents/supplies for the Vitek 2. The purchase order shall consist of a 12 month period. Any firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by September 30, 2014 by 10:00am. Supporting evidents must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed and show that competition would be advantageous to the Government . Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procrement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competive procurement in the future. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source acquisition to Biomerieux Inc.
