Full Description

Special Notice The Government intends to issue a modification (extension/single source award) to the GDLS-C (cage code 56161) long term contract SPM7LX-10-D-9016 for BAE South Africa (cage code SZ177) items, to extend the contract period from June 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015. This action will be completed by issuance of a single source award through a contract modification. The contract award is for 125 NSNs that are items in support of Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle parts that are coded to BAE South Africa., cage code SZ177. See attached excel spreadsheet. This action is being pursued to ensure continued coverage of cage and part numbered NSNs listed while the successor long term contract initiative is being evaluated and subsequently awarded for BAE South Africa part numbers. The current long term contract is scheduled to expire on May 31, 2015. Information regarding the modification (bridge/single source award) can be obtained from the primary point of contact Diane Weicksel (diane.weicksel@dla.mil). The listed parts will be procured as "all or none" per NSN. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however all responsible potential sources may submit an offer/quote to the point of contact above for consideration. All offers shall be in the English language and in U. S. dollars. Specifications, plans, or drawings are not available on these NSNs. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore the Government intends to solicit and contract with only the approved source under authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 ( 4 ) ( 1 ). Currently the only long term contracting arrangement is contract SPM7LX-10-D-9016 for all of these items coded to BAE South Africa., cage code SZ177. All terms and conditions as indicated in the current contract will remain the same for the contract period from June 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015.
