AI Contract Overview
The contract involves the urgent procurement of critical spares to support the Patriot Missile System in Bahrain, specifically under solicitation number SPRRA2-26-R-0069. This acquisition is a sole-source procurement awarded exclusively to Raytheon, identified by CAGE Code 05716, due to the limited availability of responsible sources and the inability to define the requirements through competitive means. The spares will be ordered under an existing indefinite delivery requirements contract supporting the Integrated Fires Mission Command Project within the Department of Defense. Interested firms are encouraged to identify themselves and seek source approval for future opportunities, though this specific acquisition restricts competition. Responses to the solicitation must be submitted via email to the designated contract specialist, Kimberly S. Thomas, with a deadline of May 14, 2026. Telephone inquiries are not permitted, and all communications require specific subject line formatting to ensure proper handling. The procurement is categorized under NAICS code 334515 and managed through the Defense Logistics Agency, headquartered in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, with performance anticipated in Andover, Massachusetts. Foreign firms must route their solicitation requests through their embassies. The government emphasizes the critical nature of obtaining these parts promptly and the sole-source rationale grounded in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1(a)(2).
