The emergency trauma dressing is a 4-inch by 56-inch multi-functional bandage designed to control mild to moderate hemorrhage in combat casualties. It features a sterile non-adherent pad, four evenly spaced Velcro securing strips, an elastic wrap, and a closure device, making it uniquely suited for rapid application and secure retention in high-stress environments. The product is supplied as a single unit with a mandatory 60-month shelf life that cannot be extended, and no more than nine months may have passed from the date of manufacturer to the date of delivery to the government. Labeling must include the date of manufacture, expiration or retest date, contract number, and lot number, all formatted in accordance with Medical Marking Standard No. 1, which replaces MIL-STD-129. Packaging must be commercial-grade, sealed in unit containers that protect against damage, and shipped in exterior containers suitable for safe carrier delivery at the lowest cost to the designated point of delivery. All items must be marked per MMS No. 1 requirements, and the NSN 6510-01-558-4108 is designated for this item with a quantity of four units. Delivery is required within five days of award under Solicitation SPE2DS-26-T-217A, with responses due by July 14, 2026, and the procurement is managed by the Department of Defense’s Medical Supply Chain under the Naval Medical Supply Support Facility.
