The contract specifies the procurement of aluminum alloy 7075 metal bars with a nominal diameter of 1.500 inches and a required length between 10 and 12 feet in whole-foot increments, weighing approximately 2.138 pounds per linear foot, with a stress-relieved T7351 temper condition. The material must comply with SAE AMS4124G, ASTM B666/B666M-20, and ASTM B660-23 standards, and is subject to strict certification requirements including a Certificate of Quality Compliance (Mill-Material Certification) that must accompany each shipment and be forwarded to the DLA Troop Support Contracting Officer. Every unit must be permanently marked with the DLA delivery order number, NSN, specification revision, alloy and temper designation, manufacturer’s name, heat and lot number, and dimensions using stamping or stenciling methods that are legible, waterproof, and non-contaminating; adhesive labels are permitted for smaller diameter bars and tags for wire. Packaging must adhere to MIL-STD-2073-1E and ASTM B660 Level A requirements, with marking conforming to MIL-STD-129 and additional unit-of-issue labeling when applicable. Only suppliers listed on the Qualified Suppliers List for Distributors (QSLD) are eligible to receive award under this solicitation, and any quote based on products from non-approved distributors constitutes an exception and risks rejection or criminal penalties for unauthorized substitution. Quality conformance inspections and other related requirements are waived for QSLD-compliant suppliers, except for Foreign Military Sales cases. The contract is firm fixed price with no variance allowed in quantity, and delivery is mandated within 60 days after order award. MAGNET WIREThis contract specifies the procurement of magnet wire, identified by NSN 6145-00-937-8581 and part number SPE7M1-26-T-148R, under a federal solicitation issued by the Department of Defense through the Maritime Supply Chain. The wire must be supplied in reels, with each reel weighing exactly 75 pounds and containing a single continuous length of material, as dictated by the Advice Code provisions, which override any conflicting schedule requirements. All materials must comply with the latest revision of NEMA MW1000 dated January 1, 2025, and conform to MIL-DTL-12000 for preservation and packaging, as well as MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129 for marking and packaging standards. Mercury or mercury-containing compounds are strictly prohibited in or on the wire unless explicitly exempted for functional uses such as batteries, instruments, sensors, or chemical reagents specified by NAVSEA, and any portable devices containing mercury must meet shock-proof and double-containment requirements per NAVSEA 5100-003D. The contract mandates full and open competition with zero variance on quantity, requiring delivery of five reels within 87 days FOB origin to the designated receiving facility in Tracy, California. Inspection and acceptance occur at the destination, and the unit of issue is the reel (RL). Packaging must use preservation methods designated as ZZ and meet specified containment and labeling standards. The solicitation was posted on July 20, 2026, with a response deadline of July 23, 2026, and the original delivery date is set for December 18, 2026, with a need ship date of September 25, 2026. Technical and quality requirements are incorporated from the DLA Master List, and configuration change management, deviation requests, and government identification removal procedures are governed by referenced RQ codes. Transport and shipping directives follow DLA Procurement Notes C19 and C20.
