The material must conform to SAE AMS6382S and other referenced technical standards and requires comprehensive certification, including a Certificate of Quality Compliance with each shipment, to be submitted to the DLA Troop Support Contracting Officer. All units must be clearly marked with the DLA contract delivery order number, NSN, specification revision, alloy and temper details, manufacturer information, heat and lot numbers, and exact dimensions using approved methods such as stamping or stenciling; adhesive labels are required for bars under 0.250 inches in nominal OD. Markings must be permanent, legible, waterproof, and non-contaminating. Packaging must comply with MIL-STD-2073-1E and DLA packaging requirements, with shipping labels reflecting both units of measure when applicable. The item is classified as a critical application item and is governed by strict quality assurance protocols, including compliance with the Qualified Suppliers List for Distributors (QSLD), which restricts eligibility to only those suppliers listed on the official DLA QSLD roster. Non-compliance with supplier qualifications may result in criminal penalties. While source inspection is waived for QSLD-compliant suppliers, all documentation, including CDRL-METALSCERT, must be provided as specified. Delivery is due within 125 days of award, with FOB origin, destination inspection and acceptance, and firm fixed pricing subject to a ±10% quantity variance.
