Full Description

The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (SLSDC) is searching for sources to supply a crane to meet the attached specifications. The SLSDC owns and operates that portion of the Saint Lawrence Seaway in US territorial waters between Lake Ontario and Montreal, Canada. The SLSDC's mission is to facilitate the safe and efficient passage of commercial vessels through the Seaway. The SLSDC owns a barge with a pedestal crane for removing floating aids to navigation (buoys) prior to closing the Seaway for the winter and placing them back in service in the spring prior to the Seaway opening. The SLSDC intends to replace the existing crane on the barge. Interested suppliers/manufacturers shall submit descriptive literature in sufficient detail to demonstrate how their proposed model meets or exceed our requirements. They shall also note in their response if they have the resources to install the crane or the ability to subcontract this portion of the work. The service temperature range for the crane is -30 degrees F to 110 degrees F. Responses shall be sent to Patricia White, Contracting Officer, at contact@example.gov no later than January 17, 2017.
