BATTERY, NONRECHARGE

The contract is for the procurement of 23 nonrechargeable lithium batteries with NSN 6135-01-567-0739, supplied under solicitation SPE7L7-26-Q-2017. The batteries are classified as a commercial off-the-shelf item with a Type II shelf life of 60 months, extendable, and must comply with all technical and quality requirements referenced in the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements. Sampling and inspection follow MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331 with zero non-conformances required unless otherwise stated, and attributes are verified at specified levels. The batteries must not contain intentional mercury or mercury compounds except as exempted for battery function, and any mercury-containing portable devices must have double containment. Packaging and marking adhere strictly to MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129, with special marking code 33 indicating Type II shelf life, and palletization must meet DLA’s RP001 packaging requirements. Hazardous material shipping guidelines under IP025 apply, and shipment must occur via the fastest traceable method—parcel post is prohibited. Delivery is FOB destination with a 30-day delivery window after award, and inspection and acceptance occur at the delivery point. Pricing is firm fixed price with no quantity variance allowed. Deliveries are split across three locations: 10 units to Indian Head, Maryland; 1 unit to Yakima, Washington; and 12 units also to Yakima, Washington, with individual shipment tracking and government-specific identifiers provided for each.
