AI Contract Overview
Solicitation SPE7L7-27-Q-0150 is for the procurement of 18 lead acid AGM storage batteries, identified as critical application items associated with Powerstar Inc part number PSRBC8 and NSN 6140-01-512-9887. The contract is a firm fixed price agreement with a delivery requirement of 60 days after receipt of order, with a final required delivery date of June 21, 2027. Delivery, inspection, and acceptance are all set for destination at the DLA Distribution DDSP New Cumberland Facility in Pennsylvania. The items are designated as Type 1 with a non-extendable shelf life of 24 months. The procurement includes stringent packaging and hazardous material requirements. Supplies must adhere to MIL-STD-2073-1E and RP001 for packaging and MIL-STD-129 for marking. Because the items are batteries, they must meet 49 CFR non-spillable criteria, requiring strong outer packaging, protected terminals, and specific non-spillable marking to qualify for transport exceptions under ADR/RID, IMDG, and IATA regulations. Quality assurance will be conducted via destination inspection using sampling methods such as MIL-STD-1916 or MIL-STD-105/ASQ Z1.4, with a requirement for zero non-conformances. Award will be based on best value, evaluating price, offered delivery, and past performance.
