AI Contract Overview
Solicitation SPE7L7-26-Q-2460 is a firm fixed price request for quotations issued by the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime for the procurement of storage batteries, specifically part number TEL12-70 from C&D Technologies, Inc. under NSN 6140-01-486-6831. The requirement consists of two line items totaling three units, with delivery expected within 60 days after order. The items are designated as critical application items with a non-extendable 12-month shelf life. Shipments are destined for the USS Carl Vinson and USS Kearsarge and must be sent via the fastest traceable means, explicitly prohibiting the use of parcel post. The contract mandates strict adherence to hazardous materials regulations, requiring sealed lead acid battery MSDS/PSDS per FED-STD-313 and compliance with 49 CFR for nonspillable batteries. Packaging and marking must follow MIL-STD-2073-1E, MIL-STD-129, and MIL-STD-130N, including specific requirements for terminal protection against short circuits and the use of strong outer packaging. Quality assurance is governed by MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331 sampling plans. Administrative requirements include electronic invoicing through the Wide Area WorkFlow system and compliance with various FAR and DFARS clauses regarding cybersecurity, sustainable products, and the Buy American program.
