BATTERY, NONRECHARGEABL
Solicitation # SPE7L7-27-T-0277
Solicitation SPE7L7-27-T-0277 is for the procurement of 3,759 nonrechargeable Lithium/Manganese Dioxide, Sealed 3.1 Volt batteries, identified by NSN 6135-01-340-7883. The contract requires strict adherence to controlling reference specification 12255 6092PS079 and associated drawings for all material and dimensional requirements. Key quality mandates include First Article Testing (FAT) and Production Lot Testing (PLT). For the FAT, the contractor must deliver 100 units within 90 calendar days to the Naval Surface Weapons Center, Crane Division. The government has allocated $45,000.00 for testing costs, which will be factored into the evaluation of offers. The items are classified as critical application items with a non-extendable shelf life of 60 months. Delivery is FOB Destination to the DLA Distribution Depot Oklahoma at Tinker AFB. Compliance with various military standards is mandatory, including MIL-STD-129 for marking, MIL-STD-130N for identification, and MIL-STD-2073-1E for packaging. Because the batteries are hazardous materials, the contractor must provide MSDS/PSDS per FED-STD-313 and ensure labeling conforms to the Hazard Communication Standard and IP025. Inspection and acceptance will occur at the point of origin. The solicitation is open to full and open competition, with specific price evaluation preferences available for certified HUBZone small business concerns.
