CITY OF CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA, CALIFORNIA NOTICE INVITING BIDS For Beach Access 12th & 10th Avenue Stairs Repair Notice is hereby given that the City of Carmel by the Sea is requesting bids from firms interested in providing all equipment, material, and labor to complete the Beach Access 12th and 10th Avenues Stairs Repair (Carmel Beach Coastal Protection and Access Improvement). This work includes, but is not limited to, replacement and repairs of deteriorated structural components for two public access Staircases located at 12th Avenue and 10th Avenue along Scenic Road, providing public access to Carmel Beach. Work shall be completed in accordance with all applicable project plans, specifications, and permit requirements. The contract and bidding documents will be made available Friday, June 12th, at http://ci.carmel. ca.us (under the tab “I Want to Submit a Bid or Proposal”). See Appendix C: Specifications and Project drawings titled Beach Access 12th & 10th Avenue Stairs Repair. This project will be managed by Ausonio, Inc., Construction Management under contract with the City. The beach will be open to the public while construction is ongoing. There will be a Mandatory Site Tour scheduled for 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the Del Mar Parking Lot Restroom located at the end of Ocean Avenue, adjacent to Carmel Beach. The Pre-Bid Conference will allow bidders to receive an overview of the project and ask questions. Failure to attend and arrive on time may result in your bid being deemed non-responsive, resulting in rejection of your bid. Questions regarding this solicitation are to be directed to Shari Carlet at scarlet@ci.carmel.ca.us. All questions must be in writing, submitted via email by July 10, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
