DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single firm fixed-price contract. This project will renourish approximately 5.5 miles of beach and dune along Anna Maria Island, in Manatee County between Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Range monuments R-11.9 and R-41.3. The project will include a Base and an Option. The Base will include the renourishment of approximately 4.1 miles of beach and dune between FDEP Range monuments R-11.9 and R-33.4. The Option will include renourishment of approximately 1.4 miles of beach between FDEP Range monuments R-33.4 and R-41.3. Planting of dune vegetation will take place following completion of constructed segments. Material for the project will be dredged from Borrow Areas I, II, and III, approximately 1 nautical mile offshore of Manatee County in State waters, and approximately 3.4 nautical miles from the borrow areas to the midpoint of the fill area. Project work also includes, but is not limited to, beach tilling, screening, vibration control and monitoring, coastal vegetation planting, environmental and water quality monitoring, sea turtle trawl-sweeping (hopper dredges only), and MEC Construction Support. A pre-bid site visit will be held on Wednesday, 22 July 2026 at 10:00 AM EDT. Refer to FAR 52.236-27 for additional details regarding location and registration instructions. A pre-bid conference will also be held virtually on Thursday, 23 July 2026 at 10:00 AM EDT. The anticipated period of performance associated with this requirement is: (a) Commence work under this contract within sixty (60) calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than two hundred forty (240) calendar days after receiving NTP. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises. THIS WILL BE AN UNRESTRICTED SOLICITATION. U.S. COAST GUARD CERTIFIED DREDGE EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE WORK.
