Full Description

Description of Work: The work consists of a base bid to place approximately 405,000 cubic yards of beachfill along the Atlantic Ocean coastline of Brigantine Island, Atlantic County, New Jersey. This contract requires open ocean dredging and hydraulic placement of beachfill. The project area is entirely within the municipality of Brigantine City. The contract work may also consist of up to 6 separate options to place additional amounts of beachfill per option, if awarded, in locations within and outside of the Base bid areas. Options 1, 2, and 3, if awarded, will be for quantities of 150,000, 75,000, and 25,000 cubic yards, respectively. Options 4 and 5, if awarded, will be for additional structural monitoring and a quantity of 85,000 cubic yards respectively. Option 6, if awarded, will be for a quantity of 75,000 cubic yards. The project work for the Base Bid and Options, if awarded, also may include, in addition to beachfill: the construction or repair of pedestrian, vehicle, and handicap dune crossovers; planting dune grass; and installing sand fencing. Solicitation Number W912BU-17-B-0006 will be issued on or about 31 May 2017 with a bid opening date of 30 June 2017 11:00 am EST. Estimated cost range of the project is $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00 with a 120 calendar day performance period. The NAICS Code for this project is 237990 with a size standard of $27.5 million.
