The contract includes rigorous quality and technical requirements drawn from defense logistics agency (DLA) standards, including tailored higher-level contract quality demands, DLA packaging requirements, and adherence to MIL-STD specifications for identification, preservation, packaging, and marking. Sampling and inspection protocols follow MIL-STD-1916 or comparable plans, with critical, major, and minor attributes assigned specific verification and acceptance levels to ensure product quality. Packaging and preservation must comply with MIL-DTL-197M and MIL-STD-2073-1E, with attention to protective lubricants and packaging materials appropriate to the bearing type and size.
