AI Contract Overview
This contract involves the procurement of 113 units of Bell Crank Assembly (NSN 3040-00-766-4306) specifically for the KC-135 aircraft, with delivery scheduled for 127 days after the award date. The solicitation, issued by the Department of Defense's Strategic Acquisition Directorate, includes detailed technical and quality requirements referenced from the DLA Master List and incorporates cybersecurity standards such as CMMC Level 2 certification for both third-party assessment organizations and self-assessments. The contract acknowledges the need for casting and forging processes that may require special tooling, which the government may not possess, and provides avenues to request assistance for sourcing these materials and tooling. Additionally, the contract imposes strict export control provisions on the associated technical data, governed by ITAR and EAR regulations, restricting access to certified contractors only. This includes compliance with training and certification programs to handle export-controlled information. Packaging requirements per DLA standards and procedures for the removal of government identification from non-accepted supplies are also specified. The solicitation was posted on April 3, 2026, with responses due by April 8, 2026, and the primary point of contact is Theodore Misiolek.
