This is a Sources Sought Notice. The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) MEO division has a requirement to have various parts and consumables for the 60 Drager BG 4 closed-circuit breathing apparatus distributed among four separate Mine Rescue Station locations around the country. Due to the unpredictability of mine fires, explosions, and gas inundations, it is imperative to keep all BG 4 apparatus available for immediate deployment at all times - with necessary supplies at each station for use, proper maintenance, and the replacement of expired or defective components to best ensure the safety of MEU team members working in irrespirable atmospheres in the event of a mine emergency. A listing of parts and part numbers is provided by attachment. Interested parties having the required capabilities and resources to provide these parts or equivalents are invited to respond to this Sources Sought notice. Responses should include the following: - Name and address of contractor - Cage Code - Point of contact including name, title, phone, and email address - Capability statement to include the lead time for manufacturing Business size standard Specifications of items deemed as equivalent Place of manufacture for each item listed This notice does not constitute a Request for Quotation (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as one. All interested parties are invited to submit a capabilities statement to Jennifer McKeever at McKeever.Jennifer@dol.gov., no later than April 27, 2020 at 2:00 PM EDT. Acknowledgement of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of the Governments evaluation of the information received. A determination by the Government to proceed with the acquisition is within the discretion of the Government. Please be advised that telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Please Note: All prospective offerors interested in obtaining a contract award with the Government must be registered in SAM (System Award for Management).
