The Bicycle Corral Program (project) will install on-street bicycle corrals within the public right-of-way, repurposing vehicle parking spaces for bicycle parking. The project is designed to support the need for larger quantities of bicycle parking in
dense areas and in proximity to highly frequented destinations, to increase the amount of bicycle parking spaces, encourage travel by bicycle, and promote sustainable transportation. The City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation determined that the project was categorically exempt from CEQA and on July 23, 2026 approved the project’s geometric striping plans.
