Bid 24-43 Labor for Metal Warehouse

Val Verde County is soliciting competitive sealed bids for labor-only services to erect a 60 by 80 foot bolt-up engineered metal warehouse with an extended 16 foot metal awning at the Precinct 1 Yard in Del Rio, Texas. All necessary construction materials will be supplied by the county, while the contractor is responsible for the assembly, alignment, and secure installation of all steel components, roof and wall panels, fasteners, and doors. The scope specifically excludes concrete work, electrical, plumbing, and interior finishing. Bids must be physically delivered to the Val Verde County Purchasing Department by 2:00 P.M. on October 15, 2024. Award will be granted to the lowest and best responsive and responsible bidder. The successful contractor must provide 100 percent performance and payment bonds and maintain comprehensive insurance coverage, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, and umbrella liability. A bid bond of 5 percent is required for proposals exceeding 100,000 dollars. The contract includes a one-year workmanship warranty and stipulates liquidated damages of 200 dollars per day for delays beyond the substantial completion date.
