Bid 26-13, Fire Equipment Inspection Services & Related Repairs

Hamilton County Department of Education is soliciting bids for fire equipment inspection services and related repairs for 46 school buildings and facilities throughout Hamilton County, Tennessee. The scope of work includes the inspection and maintenance of 112 sprinkler riser systems, including wet and dry systems, as well as backflow devices and Halo systems. All services must be performed by Tennessee state-certified personnel in compliance with NFPA 72, Standard Building Code requirements, and manufacturer recommendations. This master agreement will operate on an as-needed basis via individual purchase orders, with an initial term of one to two years and options to renew for up to four years total. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes to the Purchasing Department by 2:00 PM on May 21, 2025. Evaluation will be based on a best-value trade-off approach considering price, quality, suitability, and responsiveness. Awarded vendors must adhere to strict compliance standards, including FBI and TBI background checks for employees contacting students, drug-free workplace certifications, and the provision of occurrence-based Worker's Compensation and liability insurance. Payment terms are Net 30, and the contract includes provisions for termination for convenience with 60 days' notice or termination due to non-appropriation of funds.
