Bid NO. 26-24 Fire Extinguisher, Sprinkler, and Multi Alarm Inspections and Monitoring with Services

The City of Huntsville, Texas, is soliciting vendors to provide annual inspection, monitoring, and repair services for fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and related security equipment under Solicitation No. 26-24. The contract, set to commence on August 1, 2026, and run through September 30, 2027, includes four one-year renewal options extending through September 30, 2031. Vendors must service a range of fire extinguisher types including ABC and CO2 models in various sizes (2.5 LB to 25 LB), Class K/6L units, and Halon systems, as well as inspect fire alarm and sprinkler systems. All work must comply with NFPA standards, the Texas Insurance Code, the City of Huntsville’s requirements, and the State Fire Marshall’s Office regulations. Repair parts must be new and unused, and all equipment must be maintained in strict accord with accepted industry specifications. The City retains the authority to modify the scope of services—including adding or removing locations or equipment—without penalty, and pricing must remain firm for the duration of the contract with adjustments only permitted on the anniversary date with sixty days’ written notice and substantiation such as CPI or labor cost changes.
