NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE


The Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, Lackland MDTS/Laboratory Flight’s intends to award a sole source contract with bioMérieux, Inc/, to procure a fully automated microbiology instrument that performs rapid microbial identification (ID) and antibiotic susceptibility testing via utilization systems VITEK 2 60, AST, VC-VITEK, and VC-BACT/ALERT VIRTUO systems with MAESTRIA data management. which includes all necessary reagents and comprehensive maintenance services for the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) Wilford Hall. The Period of Performance is for one (1) year beginning 1 November 2026 through 31 October 2027 in the amount of $135.373.31.


The contractor shall deliver the following crucial elements: Vitek2 and BacT/ALERT 3D with Myla Software, 3.1. System Capabilities - Fully automated immunoassay platform utilizing a solid-phase methodology for allergen-specific IgE detection. Capability to perform simultaneous testing of multiple allergens and allergen components from a single patient sample, VTK2 20CARDS GP, GN, YST, NH, ANC, AST-N809, GP67, YS09, VTK2 PIP/DIL. Quantitative measurement of allergen-specific IgE antibodies. Minimal interference from othermunoglobulins (e.g., IgG). • Dimensions: (H/W/D): 215 x 183 x 105 cm, 3.2. Performance Requirements. High-throughput capability supporting large-scale laboratory operations. Ability to produce 240 tests per hour with first result available in 100 minutes followed by one every 15 seconds.


Interested sources with the demonstrated capability to meet all of the technical requirements outlined in this notice are invited to submit, in writing. Responses must include clear and convincing evidence that competition would be beneficial to the Government and would not be cost or schedule prohibitive. Respondents are responsible for appropriately marking any proprietary information. Responses will not be returned.


This synopsis/notice of intent to sole source is issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) 5.101 and 12.102 and will be posted for 5 days.
