This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested. Solicitation AG-52B1-S-14-0200 is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), to construct a new trail on the Tell City Ranger District, Hoosier National Forest. The previous solicitation, AG-52B1-S-14-0016, for this work was cancelled. The work will be performed in Perry County, IN. The work consists of constructing a new trail by shaping and scarifying the surface, out-sloping the tread, installing a culvert, removing rippable rock, constructing drain dips and providing and placing INDOT #73 limestone aggregate. This acquisition is set-aside for small businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 and the size standard is $33.5mil. Work will begin September 2, 2014 and be completed by October 15, 2014. BASIS FOR AWARD: a single award will be made to the contractor based on best value to the government. Offerors shall provide both pricing and technical information. Pricing and technical information will be submitted to: Roger Manning, USDA Forest Service, 811 Constitution Ave, Bedford, IN 47421. NO FAX QUOTES WILL BE ACCEPTED. E-mail quotes are acceptable at rkmanning@fs.fed.us. Responses are due July 24, 2014 by 11:00a.m. est. Davis Bacon Contract Act wage determination is applicable. Value is estimated to be less than $70,000. Quotes must include vendor's TIN (Tax Identification Number) and DUNS number. Vendors must be registered in SAMS (www.sams.gov) Quotes must include a completed copy of (FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications, Commercial Items, paragraphs (c) through (m).
