Notice of Proposed Contract Action (NOPCA). THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c) (1) Reference 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Cryptologic & Cyber Systems Division, Contracting Branch, Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX, intends to purchase repair services for the following: Bit Error Rate Testers (BERT) and Pattern Generator and Error Analyzer, - Model Number: BA1500, Serial Number: 15245, Qty: 1ea - Model Number: BA1600, Serial Number: 15360, Qty: 1ea The proposed acquisition is for items with NAICS Code 334515, Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals, which has a Small Business Employee Size Standard of 500. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to Tektronix, Inc., CAGE: 80009, a large business, in the January 2015 timeframe. Proposals for the required items are NOT being requested through this notice. A determination for other than full and open competition has been approved for this acquisition. If a firm believes it is capable of providing repairs for these exact items, please send a capability statement via email to the Contracting Specialist within ten (10) days of this announcement. Those interested firms must indicate whether they are a large, small, small disadvantaged, 8 (a) or woman owned business and whether they are located in the U.S. or foreign owned.
