Full Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT to Bitek Inc., 6 Hutton Centre Dr, Suite 650, Santa Ana, CA 92707 for the United States Marine Corps G-6. The Regional Contracting Office, Far East, Okinawa Japan intends to award a Sole Source, Firm Fixed Price Contract, with Bitek, Inc, 6 Hutton Centre Dr, Suite 650, Santa Ana, CA 92707. This sole source procurement is pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as set forth under FAR 6.302-1. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is: 541511, and a Federal Supply Class (FSC) Code of D316. Bitek Inc will provide software system maintenance services for the Bitek Telecommunications Management System (BTMS) currently is use by Marine Corps Bases Japan, Camp S.D. Butler. The performance consists of customization, data cconversion, training and support services for the BTMS, which is a proprietary product marketed, services and owned by Bitek. The anticipated award date of any resulting contract is 12 November 2010. The period of performance will be from 13 November 2010 through 12 November 2011. This Notice is not a request for proposals or quotations; however, any firm that believes that it can meet the specifications for services and be fully operational by 12 November 2010 may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This requirement will be under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.3.
