AI Contract Overview
This contract calls for the procurement of warming blankets designed to prevent hypothermia, specifically the Ready-Heat II model, which is a disposable, 12-panel blanket measuring 34 by 48 inches with a water-resistant finish and a blue color. Each blanket warms to at least 100°F within 10 minutes and maintains that temperature for six hours. The blankets have a foam core, are lightweight at approximately 1.5 pounds each, and are individually wrapped in translucent polybags. They are issued in cases containing eight blankets, with a required shelf life of 60 months. Importantly, no more than nine months may pass from the manufacture date to delivery, ensuring product freshness. Packaging and marking must follow specified commercial standards consistent with Medical Marking Standard No. 1, superseding previous military standards, and units must be packaged to prevent damage during shipment, with shipping containers designed to ensure safe, cost-effective delivery to Williamsburg, VA. The contract includes adherence to Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) technical and quality requirements, with the solicitation number SPE2DH-26-T-2493 requesting a quantity of 16 cases to be delivered within five days after official delivery order. Bidders are required to specify the source and part number of their supplies and comply with relevant commercial and regulatory standards, including marking, packaging, and shelf-life requirements. The contract is managed by DLA Troop Support under the Medical Supply Chain FSC, with Tina Vu serving as the primary point of contact.
