Full Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Naval Air Station (NAS) Patuxent River, MD has issued a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to Collins Aerospace on a sole source basis for the procurement of supplies and services in support of engieering services, logistics services and modification kits in support of NP2000, 54460, and 54H60 propeller systems. The services and supplies will provide technical assistance, flight test and evaluation support, sustaining engineering, and logistics/modification support for the NP2000, 54460, and 54H60 Propeller Systems including the Component Improvement Program (CIP). Additionally, this BOA will be in support of depot-level maintenance, component repair and repair development for only the NP2000 propeller system. The BOA was awarded under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." Collins Aerospace is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the NP2000, 54460, and 54H60 Propeller Systems and therefore is the only contractor with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data that can meet the Government's requirements on a timely basis and in a cost effective manner. The BOA will be available for issuing orders for a period of five (5) years. This contract award announcement satisfies the synopsis requirements of FAR 5.301 and 6.305.
