BOLT, CLOSE TOLERANCE

This contract is for the procurement of 1,000 close tolerance bolts designated as a special high strength fastener to support the Department of Defense aviation community. The item is defined by a military or consensus non-government part standard, and all units must be manufactured to the current revision of that standard effective from the solicitation date; however, hardware produced to a prior current revision is acceptable for existing inventory. The bolts must meet strict dimensional and quality requirements, including inspection of all Class 3A and 3B threads per System 22 of FED-STD-H28/20, excluding small internal and external threads below specified diameters. Sampling and inspection must follow MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331 Table 1 with zero defect acceptance unless otherwise specified, and critical, major, and minor attributes are assigned verification levels VII, IV, and II or AQLs of 0.1, 1.0, and 4.0 respectively. All manufacturing, testing, and inspection must adhere to the referenced technical data package and applicable quality assurance provisions. The contract incorporates mandatory technical and quality requirements from the DLA Master List, including packaging standards, quality conformance inspections, and acceptance at origin. A Certificate of Quality Compliance and DD Form 1423 are required, with additional documentation available through the DLA Collaboration Folders or the Master List website. Government identification must be removed from non-accepted supplies. The procurement is subject to special requirements including stress durability testing and a mandated white color finish.
