AI Contract Overview
The contract involves the procurement of 40 machine bolts identified by NSN 5306-01-112-6088 under solicitation SPE4A6-26-T-09VU, issued by the Defense Logistics Agency’s ASC Commodities Division. The item must be manufactured to the current revision of MIL-DTL-45912C or MS35764H, with prior revisions accepted only for historically produced hardware. Delivery is FOB Origin with a strict five-day ADO requirement, and the final destination is the 2nd Supply Depot in Busan, South Korea. Technical compliance is governed by multiple military standards: MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331 apply for sampling, requiring zero non-conformances unless otherwise stated, with critical, major, and minor attributes assigned AQLs of 0.1, 1.0, and 4.0 respectively. Packaging must adhere to MIL-STD-2073-1E with specific methods indicated by QUP 025, PRES MTHD 10, and PACK CODE Q, while marking follows MIL-STD-129 and MIL-STD-130N, requiring UDI-compliant labeling, manufacturer logo, lot number, and material ID. The contract invokes numerous FAR and DFARS clauses including inspection by the government at origin, automated invoicing via WAWF, NIST SP 800-171 cybersecurity requirements, prohibition of hexavalent chromium, trafficking in persons, and employment eligibility verification. Subcontracting for commercial products is permitted under deviations, and small business representation is mandatory. Hazard communication is enforced per DFARS 252.223-7001, requiring pre-award submission of hazard labels for controlled materials. The estimated contract value is $225.20 based on a historical unit price of $5.63, though the current unit price is not specified in the solicitation. Proposals must be submitted electronically through the DIBBS portal by August 4, 2026, and all offerors are required to maintain active SAM.gov registration with UEI and applicable CAGE codes, while affirming size status and socioeconomic certifications as applicable.
