SAMPLING:
THE SAMPLING METHOD SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH MIL-STD-1916 OR ASQ
H1331, TABLE 1 OR A COMPARABLE ZERO BASED SAMPLING PLAN UNLESS OTHERWISE
SPECIFIED BY THE CONTRACT. IF THE APPLICABLE DRAWING, SPECIFICATION,
STANDARD, OR QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISION (QAP) SPECIFIES CRITICAL, MAJOR
AND/OR MINOR ATTRIBUTES, THEY SHALL BE ASSIGNED VERIFICAITON LEVELS OF
VII, IV AND II OR AQLS OF 0.1, 1.0 AND 4.0 RESPECTIVELY. UNSPECIFIED
ATTRIBUTES SHALL BE CONSIDERED AS MAJOR UNLESS SAMPLING PLANS ARE
SPECIFIED IN APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS. FOR MIL-STD-1916, THE MANUFACTURER
MAY USE THE ATTRIBUTE OR VARIABLE INSPECTION METHOD AT THEIR OPTION OR
PER THE CONTRACT. MIL-STD-105/ASQ Z1.4 MAY BE USED TO SET SAMPLE LOT
SIZE, BUT ACCEPTANCE WOULD BE ZERO NON-CONFORMANCES IN THE SAMPLE LOT
UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED IN THE CONTRACT.

UNDER THIS CONTRACT. EXCEPTION: FUNCTIONAL MERCURY
USED IN BATTERIES, FLUORESCENT LIGHTS, REQUIRED
INSTRUMENTS; SENSORS OR CONTROLS; WEAPON SYSTEMS;
AND CHEMICAL ANALYSIS REAGENTS SPECIFIED BY NAVSEA.
PORTABLE FLUORESCENT LAMPS AND PORTABLE INSTRUMENTS
CONTAINING MERCURY SHALL BE SHOCK PROOF AND CONTAIN
A SECOND BOUNDARY OF CONTAINMENT OF THE MERCURY OR
MERCURY COMPOUND. (IAW NAVSEA 5100-003D).
Unless otherwise stated, identification marking shall be in accordance with paragraph 4.1.b(2) of MIL-STD-130N. This is in addition to any required manufacturer's logo, lot number, and material identification markings.

SECTION B
For items procured to MIL-DTL-12560 the First Article Test report, and a copy of all manufacturing drawings, shall be sent to the DLA Troop Support, ATTN: NASA, First Article Test Monitor, 700 Robbins Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111-5096 for approval or disapproval. The First Article Test report shall include complete objective evidence substantiating item conformance. This objective evidence must include: dimensional inspection, material chemical analysis and physical properties testing, copies of certifications for all material, and finishing processes performed, as cited on the individual drawing(s) and specifications thereon. In addition all test results shall be included in the First Article Test report. The contractor shall utilize the same manufacturing facility, processes and procedures for both the production quantities and the First Article Test samples. The presence of any nonconformance to test requirements shall result in disapproval of the First Article Test. The contractor may prepare the First Article Test report using the contractor's standard format. The contractor, in developing the First Article Test Report, may use MIL-HDBK-831 for guidance.
THIS ITEM IS DEFINED BY EITHER BY A MILITARY PART STANDARD, OR A PART STANDARD PUBLISHED BY A CONSENSUS NON-GOVERNMENT STANDARDS ORGANIZATION.
HARDWARE MANUFACTURED TO THE CURRENT REVISION OF THE PART STANDARD DEFINING THIS ITEM IS ACCEPTABLE. HARDWARE MANUFACTURED IN THE PAST TO A PREVIOUS, BUT THEN CURRENT, REVISION OF THE STANDARD IS ACCEPTABLE. ANY HARDWARE MANUFACTURED FROM THE DATE OF THIS SOLICITATION FORWARD, SHALL BE MANUFACTURED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CURRENT REVISION OF THE PART STANDARD IN QUESTION.
