The item is designated as a critical application and must comply with all applicable technical and quality requirements listed in the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, which supersede any conflicting standards such as ASTM D3951. Quality conformance is strictly enforced through origin inspection and acceptance, governed by FAR 52.246-2, with sampling conducted under MIL-STD-1916, ASQ H1331 Table 1, or an equivalent zero-based plan, requiring zero non-conformances for acceptance. Verification levels are set at VII for critical attributes (AQL 0.1), IV for major (AQL 1.0), and II for minor (AQL 4.0), and the manufacturer’s inspection system must meet or exceed SAE AS9003 or ISO 9001 tailored to AS9003 requirements.
