This Request for Information (RFI) is for market research purposes only. This is not a request for proposal (RFP) to be submitted. It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the government. Responses in any form are not offers and the government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this technical description is strictly voluntary. All questions relating to this notice shall be sent via email to Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) point of contact, Marianne Velez at Marianne.e.velez.civ@mail.mil. Reponses are due February 28th 2020 and are limited to 15 pages, exemption will be consider on a case by case basis. The Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) in support of Product Manager Soldier Protective Equipment (PM SPE) of the Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060, is seeking information from potential industry partners to support the Army's effort to recover boron carbon (B4C) from the hard armor ballistic plates used throughout the Department of Defense (DoD).
