The Government, specifically the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (WSS) Nuclear Reactor Supply Chain Management Directorate has an ongoing need for various competitively procured gaskets used in the secondary system of the Navy's nuclear reactors. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) Codes for these items are 5330 and 5331. The NAICS code is 339991. The size standard is 500 employees. Subject gaskets are currently purchased via competitively issued call orders placed against the following five-year Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA); N00104-13-A-7007, N00104-13-A-7008, N00104-13-A-7009, N00104-13-A-7011, N00104-13-A-7012, and N00104-13-A-7013. Based on historical data, the Directorate anticipates issuing approximately 450 - 475 delivery orders totaling approximately $1,200,350.00 during the upcoming year. It is in the best interest of the government to establish BPAs with multiple suppliers in order to provide maximum practicable competition. No solicitation will be issued as a result of this notice. However, interested small business concerns can view the attached Request for Information to determine if its capabilities meet the technical and quality requirements necessary for the manufacture of this complex and critically applied nuclear material.

Request for Information: Additive Manufacturing
Solicitation # N0010427RZ058
The Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support is conducting market research through Request for Information N0010427RZ058 to identify qualified sources capable of designing, producing, and delivering piece part components or entire assemblies using additive manufacturing methods. The government is specifically interested in vendors who can meet rigorous manufacturing, material, performance, testing, and quality assurance requirements. While the current focus is on a candidate list of National Item Identification Numbers for valves, actuators, and manifolds, the government anticipates that Level I and SUBSAFE items may become eligible for additive manufacturing in the future. Interested businesses must provide detailed administrative data, descriptions of their manufacturing capabilities, facility certifications such as ISO 9001 or AS9100, and evidence of past performance with similar military or commercial hardware. Additionally, the government is soliciting industry feedback on the development of objective evaluation criteria and the structuring of performance-based incentives for future Firm-Fixed-Price contracts. All produced components must be fully interchangeable with traditionally manufactured equivalents and strictly adhere to the baselines established in Project Peculiar Document 802-8436658. Responses are due by October 22, 2026.
