NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE This is a notice of intent to award a Brand Name, Sole-Source, Firm-Fixed price Task Order for Armored Vehicle Support Services. This is NOT a request for competitive proposals. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source a firm-fixed price supply contract and is not a request for competitive proposals. Department of the Army Budget office intends to solicit a proposal and enter into a contract with an MAS 84 (SIN426-5B) holder for this brand name, sole source procurement is IAW Title 40 U.S.C.501, (Services for Executive Agencies) per FAR 8.405-6(a)2. The Department of the Army Budget office intends to negotiate, by means other than full and open competition, a new firm-fixed price contract providing brand name armored vehicles to augment an aging fleet. The Department of Defense Budget Office has requested GSA, FAS, AAS provide procurement assistance with the acquisition of a total of Two Hundred and twenty-two (222) armored vehicles (B4+ or B6 level of ballistics protection) in support of an aging vehicle fleet. The current operational area's for the subject fleet consist of Eastern Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia and Central & South America. This requirement is not set aside for small business. The NAICS code for this action is 336992 - Armored military vehicles and parts manufacturing. The period of performance will be one year from date of award through plus four Option Years. The anticipated RFQ release date on GSA's Ebuy Electronic Request for Quote system is April 15, 2014 under Schedule 84, SIN 426 5B. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government shall consider all responses received within fifteen days of this posting.
