AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Navy, through Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound, is soliciting gaskets exclusively from OEM Alfa Laval Inc., as these components are classified as ship-critical safety items under COMSCINST 4490.1C and must be procured only from the original equipment manufacturer or authorized sources to ensure the integrity and safety of the Fresh Water Generator system aboard Military Sealift Command vessels. The anticipated award is expected in August 2026, with responses due by July 21, 2026. The contract will be performed in San Diego, California, and managed by the Department of Defense office located in Bremerton, Washington.
