Location
The location of work is Berens River Harbour located on Sigurdsson Island, on the Eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg approximately 365km North of Winnipeg.
Description of Project
The project involves the supply and install of new armour stone to repair an existing rubble mound breakwater and the supply and install of new steel anchor piles.
FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE
Before submitting a bid, bidders can visit the site and its surroundings, at their own expense and schedule, to review and verify the form, nature, and extent of the work, materials needed for the completion of the work, the means of access to the site, site remoteness, severity, exposure, and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies, and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account or error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply.
Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid.
All work must be completed by March 31, 2026.
This is a first phase (Phase one) of a two-phase competition: the first phase will pre-qualify bidders based on mandatory requirements as per the attached Request for Qualifications; second phase (Phase two) will invite the qualified bidders to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. The list of pre-qualified bidders resulting from Phase One will be valid for a period of 60 days upon notification of meeting the mandatory requirements or upon award of contract in Phase Two whichever comes first.
