Bridge Deck Concrete Removal and Repair

This subcontract for Bridge Deck Concrete Removal and Repair supports MassDOT bridge rehabilitation projects within District 5. The scope of work involves the full and partial depth excavation and removal of disintegrated reinforced concrete, specifically targeting bridge decks and areas within three feet of joint centerlines, including steel armoring and joint headers. The contractor is responsible for installing temporary protective shielding over roadways, railroads, and waterways to ensure safety and environmental protection. All operations, including the use of concrete saws and chipping hammers, must adhere to MassDOT Standard Specifications Subsections 120 and 482 to deliver cleaned and excavated bridge deck surfaces.
