THIS IS A NOTICE OF CONTRACT ACTION (NOCA); THIS IS NOT A SOCLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN REPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. THE PRUPOSE OF THIS SYNOPSIS IS TO NOTIFY INDUSTRY OF THE USAF INTENT OF CONTRACT ACTION AND POSSIBLY GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF OTHER POTENTIALLY QUALIFIED SOURCES AND THEIR SIZE CLASSIFICATIONS (SMALL BUSINESS, LARGE BUSINESS, ETC.) PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF A SOLICITATION, AS ONE DOES NOT EXIST. SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT FOR BROADBAND BICONICAL ANTENNAS DESCRIPTION: INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT TO ETS-LINDGREN. The Air Force, Edwards Air Force Base, CA intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to ETS-Lindgren The Sole Source purchase will be for four (4) each Broadband Biconical Antennas. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit, in writing, complete information describing their ability to provide the following: 4 Each. Biconical Antennas: The antennas are used for EMI/EMC testing and Antenna Pattern testing. The requirement of items and services are outlined as follows: 1. Broadband Biconical Antenna a. Provide 30 MHz - 1000 MHz Compact Bicon Antenna b. Quantity: 4 each c. Description: 30 - 1000 MHz Antenna, Compact Bicon d. Model Number: 3182 e. Mfg Part Number: 3182-Antenna, Compact Bicon, 30 to 1000 MHz 2. Frequency Range a. 30 - 1000 MHz 3. Antenna Factor: a. 30 MHz. 26, 100 MHz. 12, 200 MHz. 18, 300 MHz 19, 400 MHz. 23, 500 MHz. 26, 600 MHz. 28, 700 MHz. 28, 800 MHz. 32, 900 MHz. 34. 1000 MHz. 33 b. Gain dBi must track Antenna Factor conversions (Gain dBi and Antenna Factors are both required 4. Radiation Pattern a. Bicon must have antenna pattern performance of a dipole antenna. b. Elements must be optimized to avoid any splitting of the main radiation beam in the elevation cut. 5. Electrical Specifications a. VSWR Ration (Avg): <2.5:1 b. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. If the office has not received any affirmative written responses by 9:00 a.m. on April 12, 2010, a Sole Source purchase order will be pursued with ETS-Lindgren.
