Synopsis FA8554-16-R-0001 THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. ANTICIPATED RELEASE OF RFP IS ON OR AROUND 1 Dec 2015. THIS ACQUISTION WILL BE A 5 YEAR FIRM- FIXED PRICE REQUIREMENTS TYPE CONTRACT WITH A BASIC AND (4) ONE YEAR OPTION PERIODS WITH BEST ESTIMATED QUANTITIES FOR THE FOLLOWING: This requirement is for the test, teardown, and repair of the BRU-44 Bomb Release Unit Gas Generator, National Stock Number (NSN) 1095-01-511-0577GG, Part Number (P/N): 6127636; NOUN: Housing, Gas Generator; DIM: 2.5" Ht. X 11"W X 2.5" Deep, 4 Lbs; MATL: Forged Stainless Steel IAW MIL-H-6875; FUNC: Generates gas pressure to operate the BRU-44 bomb ejector rack. This requirement is sole source to: Chemring Energetic Devices (CED), Cage Code 93455, 2525 Curtis St., Downers Grove, IL 60515. Authority: 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The basic requirement is for a best estimated quantity of 30 EA. The requirement also includes four (4) option years with a best estimated quantity of 30 each. All assets will be shipped FOB Origin to Supply central receiving Robins AFB, Ga. Solicitation is expected to be issued on or around 1 Dec 2015 with response due 30 days after solicitation issue date. Delivery is 90 calendar days after effective date of funded task order. Responsible sources may submit a capability statement or proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
