Buckhead CID Livable Centers Initiative Master Plan

The Buckhead Community Improvement District is soliciting proposals for the Buckhead Livable Centers Initiative Master Plan, a project aimed at updating the 2017 LCI plan to improve accessibility, walkability, and transit use. The scope of work focuses on the Buckhead and Lenox MARTA station areas and their connected mixed-use districts. Key deliverables include an existing conditions assessment report, a regulatory code study and audit, and the advancement of both a central gathering place/park plan and a walkable streetscape prototype to 30 percent completion. The total budget for this project is 300,000 dollars, with payments made via monthly invoices and progress reports. The project is funded through the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Livable Centers Initiative program and must adhere to federal regulations 49 CFR Part 18 and 49 CFR Part 26 regarding competitive procurement and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation. Additionally, the contractor must comply with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act and the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990. The performance period begins with a notice to proceed on December 21, 2026, with a project kickoff in January 2027 and a final completion deadline of November 19, 2027. Selection will be based on the consultant's qualifications, prior experience, proposed approach, and understanding of the local Buckhead context.
