The proposed Project involves the replacement of the existing sewer main that runs along the bridge crossing Burch Creek. It has been damaged by debris at the Burch Creek Bridge during previous storm events and needs to be repaired. If the sewer force main at Burch Creek is not operational, residents lose sewage utility. The project will also remove sediment from the creek bed that is restricting creek flows and causing elevated water levels that could result in further damage to the sewer force main. The purpose of the project is to provide reliable sewage utilities for businesses and residents of the City of Corning.
