The Alpine School District is seeking a qualified vendor to supply, install, and maintain a 1,000-gallon propane tank and associated fueling equipment at its Bus Garage in American Fork, Utah, to support the district’s school bus fleet. The contract requires weekly propane deliveries to ensure a constant fuel supply, along with ongoing maintenance of the tank and all related infrastructure, including the installation of protective barriers and safety training for district staff. The district will not assume ownership of the tank or equipment, and all deliveries must be F.O.B. destination with the contractor covering all transportation and handling costs. Pricing is based on a fixed markup in cents per gallon over the Mont Belvieu propane daily average rack index, with an estimated annual consumption of 21,000 gallons. The cost evaluation formula incorporates the markup, a one-time installation charge, a five-year rental cost, and a removal fee. Proposals must be submitted electronically via Utah Public Procurement Place by June 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM Mountain Time, and must include a completed Certification of Proposal Form, a detailed company response, and a fully enumerated cost proposal. To be eligible, vendors must meet a minimum 80% threshold in Stage One evaluation, which assesses technical capability, company profile, and references, and must also provide proof of liability insurance and certify they are not debarred or suspended by any government entity. The contract will initially last one year with the option to extend for up to four additional years, totaling five years, but automatic renewals do not apply. Vendor pricing must remain locked for the first year, and all terms are governed by Utah law. The contract may be adopted and extended by three new school districts—Aspen Peaks, Lake Mountain, and Timpanogos—that will be formed on July 1, 2027.
