Bus Non-Engine Non-OEM Repairs

Granite School District is seeking a qualified vendor under solicitation JB27-303 IFB to provide non-engine repairs for its school bus fleet. The scope of work includes steering and suspension repair, king pin replacement, driveline and drive axle components, air conditioning systems, and miscellaneous chassis and OEM component repairs. All work must comply with original equipment manufacturer standards as well as federal, state, and local school bus regulations. The contract is a firm fixed price agreement with an initial one-year term beginning December 1, 2026, and includes the option for four additional annual renewals at the District's discretion. Bidders are requested to be located within 20 miles of zip code 84119. The award will be granted to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on labor rates. Vendors must provide a cost sheet detailing hourly rates for Thomas, Blue Bird, and International buses, as well as percentage discounts for OEM and non-OEM parts. Key deliverables include providing detailed written estimates within eight hours of receiving a vehicle, a yearly report of all work performed, and a one-year warranty on all parts and labor. Payment is processed within 30 days of receiving a correct invoice via mail, electronic funds transfer, or purchasing card. To be eligible, bidders must be properly licensed in the State of Utah and submit a Non-Collusion Declaration and Certification of Bid. The District requires contractors to maintain workers' compensation insurance and adhere to strict non-discrimination and confidentiality standards. Performance will be evaluated based on the timeliness of delivery, customer service, and the condition of goods delivered. All deliveries are FOB destination, and the District reserves the right to make multiple awards or award by line item if it serves the best interest of the District.
