Byrne JAG NOFO - State Share

The Connecticut Office of Policy and Management Criminal Justice Policy and Planning Division (OPM CJPPD) is offering a total of 1,933,126.98 in funding through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (Byrne JAG) Program. This solicitation, identified as OPM-FY2027-JAGSS, supports a wide array of criminal justice activities, including law enforcement, prosecution, corrections, drug treatment, victim services, and technology improvements. Eligible applicants include state agencies, nonprofits, tribal nations, coalitions, and private entities. Proposed projects must address criminal justice issues on a state-wide level, although regional projects serving multiple municipalities are also eligible. Funding is available for a performance period of up to 12 months, and projects must align with at least one active Byrne-JAG purpose area, such as planning, technology, or mental health programs for criminal-justice-involved populations. Applications must be submitted via the EUNA Grants system between July 15, 2026, and October 15, 2026. Review and awards are conducted on a rolling basis until all funds are exhausted. To be eligible, applicants must maintain an active Unique Entity Number in SAM.GOV, possess a FEIN, and have written accounting policies and a financial management system capable of tracking expenditures. Nonprofits must additionally agree to financial reviews to ensure compliance with federal and state audits. Awardees are required to submit quarterly financial reports, progress reports, and performance measurement data. All funds must be used to supplement rather than supplant existing funding and must comply with 34 U.S.C. 10152, the DOJ Grants Financial Guide, and JAG Prohibited Equipment Guidance.
