** THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. NO QUOTES WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL THE REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS POSTED. **


The 76 CMXG is requesting procurement of one (1) Altitude Test Chamber System Pressurization Blower.  The requested equipment item description/specifications are outlined below. This is a BRAND-NAME requirement.


  1. Model Number: Dearing Compressor and Pump Co. Pressure Blower System, Part Number DSP-2505-8CM-6-50 or equal.
  2. Quantity: One (1) each
  3. The replacement unit shall be a direct replacement for the current Pressure Blower System Model 38406A, Serial Number 27335 used in conjunction with the existing Altitude Chamber Test System and shall meet all form, fit, and functions of the original unit. 
  4. The new direct replacement Pressure Blower System shall meet all the design requirements of the original Pressure Blower system.
  5. The new replacement blower shall be a centrifugal multistage blower.
  6. The blower operational design criteria shall be inlet air pressure range from 28 inches HgA to 31 HgA, inlet air temperature range from 0 degrees F to 115 degrees F, inlet air design temperature of 80 degrees F, output air volume of 2000 SCFM, and outlet air pressure of 6 psig at 2000 SCFM.
  7. The blower section joints shall be equipped with O-Rings. 
  8. The blower shall utilize labyrinth seals. 
  9. The new replacement blower shall be equipped with a 100 HP TEFC premium efficient motor with 460 VAC, 3 phase and 60 Hz power requirements, and an operational speed of 3600 rpm.
  10. The motor shall be equipped with a conduit box for connection to the existing facility starter power enclosure. 
  11. The new replacement blower and motor shall be skid mounted as a packaged unit. 
  12. The skid shall be constructed of I-Beam steel and powder coated.
  13. The blower motor package shall be equipped with all required motor and blower shaft coupling components and rotational safety guards for a complete operational system.
  14. The new direct replacement Pressure Blower system shall connect to the existing Altitude Chamber Test System. 
  15. All blower package components shall be new.
  16. Any substitutions shall be responsible for connection to the existing Altitude Chamber Test System and functional testing to ensure form, fit, and function of the Altitude Chamber Test System is maintained.
